BKL Sweetheart Sprints

On the 1km Lighted Picnic Loop At the Bolton Valley Nordic (Sports) Center

Friday February 26, 2021

Cost:MNC BV Season’s pass or $10 trail fee paid inside the Sports Center

Schedule:

Warm-up & course preview 4-5 pm

Lollipop Race: 5 pm

1km Sprints: 5:15 -7 pm

Course:

Lollipop will do a short loop with some fun features in front of the Sports Center

Grades 1 &2 will do one run of the 1 km

Grades 3-8 will do two runs of the 1 km  and the best time out of the two will count as the finish time.

Details:

Interval Start, 30 seconds apart. There will be about 15 minutes between first and second runs.

Bib-pick up will be outside by the entrance to Picnic

Bring your Headlamp! Warm-up & Warm down after 5 pm will be on the non-lighted trails. Sunset is at 5:17.

COVID Considerations:

1) Everyone needs to fill out the MNC Health Screen before coming to the race. Link will be emailed to you.

2) Masks required except when racing.

3) Ski from your car. Sports Center will be open for ticket purchasing and bathroom use.

4) Please maintain 6 ft. social distancing at all times

5) As per VT COVID guidelines, spectators are not allowed out on course.  Parents should plan to go for a ski or wait in your car or volunteer (see Volunteer tab on the registration spreadsheet).

Results: Will be emailed after the race.  Wrapped Cookies for all!
