Registration Information:
Registration will be available soon at https://www.skireg.com/flying-moose-classic
This year the race is slated for the new Bethel Village Trails (BVT), headquartered at the Bethel Inn, in Bethel. Grooming is still by Pistenbully (2) with snowmobile (3) back-up/touch-up. The new course features more varied terrain, with considerably more low-angle segments on the Pasture Path and Dog Days trails, punctuated by the hills and twists of Hedgehog and Corkscrew. The Flying Moose at BVT will be somewhat faster than at Pine Hill, and also more accessible to skiers new to mid-distance races. The race start/finish stadium features significantly longer starting run-in, and greatly reduced congestion as start lanes narrow. Many racers will find this to be the greatest improvement to the Flying Moose Classic. Racers will have access to the BVT Nordic Center, and the wider facilities of the Bethel Inn.
We have been using and refining our new timing system this summer, and results will be available live on-line as well as viewable on monitors at the race stadium.
Food and refreshments will be available to racers at the stadium as well as the extensive fare for purchase inside the Bethel Inn.
Parking and shuttle service will be expanded as registration warrants. Currently we have parking available at the venue for personal vehicles and some larger vans or busses.
