Junior Photos and Bolton Time Trial Results

This past week of training was a tough one! We kicked things off on Tuesday at the UVM Research Forest in Jericho for a sustained bounding workout. The sun was shining but there was a chill in the air and lots of leaves on the ground. Bounding is a great workout because it is so similar to skiing; it uses more muscles than just running. Thursday we did some specific strength on a dreary afternoon at Mud Pond. And this morning we hosted another Central Vermont Coop Series event at Bolton. In spite of several inches of snow, approx 25 athletes ran up the mountain! Hopefully more photos coming from that – my phone died. The conditions probably slowed the course down by 1-3 minutes, so we can’t really compare today’s times to times from September. It was a great morning with lots of excitement for winter and a wide variety of athletes and age groups — from age 11 to 50+.
