What a great weekend to cap off the season for many MNC Juniors…in some cases, the way to cap off their high school careers! Vermont showed up ready to put their skiing legacy to the test, and delivered with a massive 5,000-point victory…lots of MNC athletes helped contribute to that lead (and legacy). Below are a collection of photos from Gary Solow, along with some tales and recaps of the racers and their performances!

Chloe was fired up for the classic race, and even after the massive crash off the line left her in dead last, she fought back to 32nd. Here she getting after it on the skate skis!
Tim was the late-addition to the team after states, but he really outdid his seed to finish in the 30’s (as a freshman and first-year U16!)
Marika had an awesome 18th in the skate race!
Greg had a great week with 9th, 11th and 15th-place finishes to earn 10th overall in the individual standings
Here’s Greg LEADING the final leg of the relay ahead of Forrest and Will Rhatigan. Greg skied great until a crash and broken pole in the last kilometer knocked him into 4th. If that’s not motivation going into the summer I don’t know what is!
Eliza was just out of the top 20 (21st) in the skate race, and had possibly her best classic race ever. The technique and speed is carried through in this photo! Abby Grab and Marika also snuck into this shot!
Charlie had his breakout race in the skate race at qualifiers, and he’s been on a roll ever since!
Will displaying some great parallel lines and skiing fast in the relay, racing for the “MNC Team” along with Abby, Chloe and Tim
A happy team of Vermonters celebrating the victory
Pugs at Easterns! Didn’t find everyone for this shot but managed to capture most: Will, Charlie, Tim, Chloe, Adam, Conor, Greg, Olivia, Marika
