Masters Training 10/11 thru 10/15

Sun. 10/11  Madonna Hike followed by Roller Ski (map) This week we will mix things up and start with a hike up the Smugglers Notch ski trails followed by a shorter roller ski on Pleasant Valley Rd.   Non-roller skiers are welcome  to join us in this ~1.5hr hike.  Bring Poles and  plan to meet at 8:30AM at  Madonna Mtn Parking lot. We estimate that we will be starting the roller ski around 10:30-11:00.

Tues. 10/13  Dee PT Strength (map)  – Join Coach Dennis this Tuesday at 6-7PM for the first strength training session at Dee PT in South Burlington.   If you haven’t signed up yet or want to find out more click here.

Thurs. 10/15 Dry Land Training (map– Join Coach Rick for the first week of dry land training.   This week we will meet from 5:30 – 7:00PM and will shift the training location to the Ethan Allen Range in Jericho where we will have access to lights and additional equipment.  If you haven’t signed up yet or want to find out more click here.

Sun. 10/4  Sunday Roller Ski in Williston (map) This week we will roller ski in Williston with a mix of distance and long intervals.  We will meet at Kort’s house at 9:30 AM.

VIP Early Bird Sale this Friday – Colchester Ski Swap

The Colchester Ski and Skate Sale is this weekend.  MNC is invited to attend the VIP Early Bird Sale this Friday, Oct. 2 from 7:30 PM to 9:30.  If you wish to ocnsign any items you may bring them to the school between 5 and 7 on Friday.  There is always a high demand for used equipment.  Normal sale hours are Saturday from 9-4 and Sunday from 10-2.

Masters Training 9/27 thru 10/1

Masters Fall training moves into full swing this week.  Get out there and start getting ready for ski season!

Sun. 9/27  Sunday Roller Ski (map) This week we will roller ski on Pleasant Valley Rd in Cambridge/Underhill.  We will meet at the Cambridge Post Office at 9:30 AM. We will be leaving from the same place as the Juniors so we can see them in action and so that faster Masters can try to ski along.

Masters Roller Ski 9/20

Despite the rain in the BTV area, the skies were clear in Georgia and we had a great roller ski with Rick along the lake last Sunday.  This week Steve Crafts will be leading us on a ski in the Burlington area.

DETAILS:

The end of Ethan Allen Parkway is a residential road – plenty of safe parking.
Our parking location is just past CP Smith Elementary school
Park anywhere towards the end of Ethan Allen Parkway – the road takes a sharp left and turns into Gazo Ave. Good parking down there too.

Tentative locations for upcoming rolls have also been posted below, but watch the blog each week as times locations may change.

Also, we will have available a  few large roller ski tech-shirts for sale ($20) to our Masters.  For safety we require all of our Juniors to wear them and we he have received numerous compliments as to how visible they are on the roads.   So support our club and be safe!
