Winter Program Start

We are excited to kick off the Masters’s MNC season starting December 1st.  Due to COVID a few things will look different for this upcoming season. First off, the club is without Range access for this season. Despite this frustration, Bolton Valley and Sleepy Hollow have been supportive as we solidify our upcoming season plans. This year you will need to purchase ski passes separately from our usual program fees. We recognize the added financial burden this places on our members, but we hope you will continue to support our club along with the local family-run Nordic centers that we will be relying on this season.

MNC Registration

Program Fee: $225 (reduced from last season)
This fee covers coaching and special skiing access. Sleepy will be turning on the lights Tuesday/Thursday for just our members, and Bolton is revitalizing their trail network to accommodate our members.

Look for program registrations to open the week of 11/1.

Locations & Season Pass Information

Early Masters  (Tues & Thurs 4-5:30PM)

Location: Bolton Valley Nordic Center
Daylight skiing transitioning to the 1.4k lighted loop as the sun sets.  
Ski Pass: Bolton Valley Nordic ($tbd).

We are currently negotiating season pass pricing with Bolton for our members, so please do not purchase a pass at Bolton until we update with more relevant MNC pricing!

Late Masters  (Tues & Thurs 6-7:30PM)

Location: Sleepy Hollow
Lighted skiing and 2km snowmaking loop.  
Ski Pass: Sleepy Hollow ($170 before Oct. 31)

This summer MNC Masters have been running and cycling at varying locations in the area.   It is actually amazing the miles of trails and gravel roads we have at our disposal.  This week we were  treated to an especially fantastic gravel bike ride starting from the Middlesex park’n ride.  With pre-mapped S (20Mi) , M (33 mi.)  & XL (54 mi.) routes designed by Sarah K.  All told 14 riders set out choosing amongst the three route options and many opting to go all in for the XL 54 Mi & >5,000 ft of climbing.   Regardless of route, all the riders we treated with some spectacular gravel roads and terrain in the area.  Of course, there was the obligatory stop at Red Hen for well deserved after ride reward.

P.S.  The entire group easily checked the box for Coach Adams “over distance” challenge.

This coming Sunday, Tom and Shiela will be hosting the ride in another new location starting in Charlotte. Also, don’t forget to check the Masters Training doc for all the roller skiing, running and cycling this coming week.
