  • We will order Pizza and ask some Parent Volunteers to pick them up for us.
  • Estimate about $4 per kid should cover the cost
  • Bring Drinks (we have some cups and napkins left from Sunday and I will pickup paper plates)
  • Bring any old sheets, poster board, Markers etc to make things to decorate our MNC tent and NWVT gathering area.  Make something to carry in the parade.  Remember the theme is THE BOSTON SKI PARTY!!
  • We may start with some balance and strength drills inside so bring your running shoes.
  • We will also go over the Festival Schedule and answer as many questions as we can so parents new to this event have a better feel for what happens there.
  • Kids who are not going to the festival are also welcome to come and help as well as have pizza.

Skiing Today 1/22/13

BK

We will have ski practice today.  IT WILL BE VERY COLD!!  The plan is to ski for short periods and go back inside to warm up.  It may take a while to get some heat cranking from the wood stove(s).  Dress in layers, mittens better than gloves, face covered as much as possible.  Hats not head bands – ears must be covered.  If needed we will have some indoor activities to work on balance and strength. We will reschedule a biathlon day for the kids when it is a little warmer.

MASTERS

Same plan that we have above for BK. Keep any eye on each other for signs of frost bite.

Great skiing everyone!

The MNC 7th and 8th grade girls are all smiles - even after racing a little extra!

The coaches were all super impressed by how well all of the kids skied today, we can’t wait for more races to come!
