New Snow and Early Season Races at Craftsbury on Sunday. All Ages!!

DUST OFF YOUR SKIS AND HEAD TO CRAFTSBURY THIS WEEKEND!!!

We know most of you haven’t been on snow yet but if you are up for an early season challenge there will be some races at Craftsbury on Sunday.   Check out the details below taken from the COC website.  Remember – Races this time of year are not to be taken seriously for most of us but rather a chance to get on snow, shake the rust off and have a good time. Hope to see you there.

We’re excited to invite everyone to the Craftsbury Opener this Sunday, November 30. In a new twist this season, we’re making one change to this traditional early season interval start freestyle race:  we’re asking all competitors to keep their wax to low fluoro or hydrocarbon only – no HF, topcoats, powders, or liquids.

We’ve had success doing this for our GRP SpringTour FIS races every March, and thought it’d be a great way to keep this early season test simple, cheap, and low-key while minimizing stress for athletes, coaches, and parents as they prep for the first event of the year. So save your cash and fancy ski prep for later in the year, and come on up for a fun event at Craftsbury!

Event details:
Date – Sunday, November 30, 2014 – BKL kicks things off at 9:00

BKL – 2k – Mass Start Freestyle

U16 and under Jr Boys and Girls – 5k interval start freestyle

Men and Women over 16 – 10k interval start freestyle

Registration – Online – FREE for houseguests, $25 for everyone else – price includes lunch! DOR for another $10.

Remember – Low Fluoro only!
