The sweat-soaked, mud-caked, bug-infested days of summer may be the heart of the off-season training in the ski world, but spring is an critical transition time for fitness and prep for the year ahead!
For these upcoming weeks we will be looking to get used to challenging our muscles in a dryland environment as (if?) the snow melts, and preparing for the increased work and intensity of summer. Sessions will be a mix of running, biking, strength work and games…plus a hearty dose of some bigger, larger adventures around the area!
Structure:
Training is open to all Junior-level skiers (U16, U18, U20) as well as rising Freshmen headed into High School.
Tuesday (4PM) / Thursday (4PM) / Saturday (10AM unless otherwise specified). Locations in and around Chittenden County to be determined prior to each week.
Training will be posted on the Junior Team google doc, as well as updated (and recapped) weekly on the Junior Team blog.
