This festive weekend of racing will kick off with the first annual New England Club Relay Championship followed by the Craftsbury Spring Fling the following day. The New England Club Relay Championship, hosted by Mansfield Nordic Club, will attract skiers of all ages and abilities and is perfect way to involve all club members in a fun and exciting event.
The race format will be four legs of 4km with 2 CL and 2 FS technique legs. The four person relay teams will be placed in two age group categories. Combined age of 200 years and over and combined age under 200 years. Each official team must be from the same NENSA Club/team. Unofficial teams (unofficial means not from the same club/team) may enter as well, but will not score for the official club championship award.
Awards from Toko will also be presented to the top Male team, Female team, and mixed team (made up of at least two women). We will also have a BKL award for top team with no designation for male, female, or mixed teams.
Clubs may enter as many teams as possible and club points will be scored using world cup point system. First place 100 pts down to 30th place one pt.
Our goal is to get as many MNC teams skiing as possible. So whether you are an experienced or first time racers there is a team for you. Use MNC Team Sign-Up Sheet google doc to add your name, technique of choice and any other preferences.
Several days before the race our Coaches will build the team and sign team captains to sign-up and register.
