Comp Team/MNC Academy Winter Semester
Designed as a 6-day/week program in the winter, Comp Team athletes are typically striving toward goals at Junior National, National and International levels. This program revolves around a structured weekly training schedule from early December through the end of the racing season in March. A serious, dedicated and year-round commitment to the sport at the Comp Team level indicates a desire to succeed in Nordic skiing in both the short- and long-term.
HS Skier Program
The MNC HS Skier Program includes training on certain days of the week and is designed to offer structured training, racing and coaching opportunities that complement athletes who compete for a public high school team. Ideal for skiers looking to add varied coaching and training to their winter schedules, as well as receive additional technical and tactical support, the HS Skier Program aims to help high school skiers achieve their goals at all levels. MNC encourages athletes to speak to your HS Coach beforehand if you plan to choose this option.
Program Fees:
Junior programs runs from Thursday, December 1st until we’re out of snow.
- $1249 (’24/’25) Academy/6-Day/wk Comp Team (includes full Eastern Cup Race Support)

Locations:
Tues/Thurs training days will most commonly be at the Camp Ethan Allen Training Site (“The Range”) for the ’22/’23 winter season. Please be aware that in order to access the facility, athletes must be registered before their first session. After registering, athletes will be added to the roster list: the guard booth at the front gate checks every name for entry! Be sure to bring a photo ID for entrance to the gate.
Training on other days of the week (primarily Wed, Fri, and weekends not racing) typically occurs at Sleepy Hollow, and it is highly recommended that MNC athletes get a season pass to Sleepy Hollow if they don’t already do so through their respective high school teams.
Sleepy Hollow is our most reliable local source for both snowmaking and lighted night skiing, meaning that during low-snow or early season weeks the Juniors will often train at Sleepy Hollow instead of the Range.
To register:
All MNC skiers, and anyone planning to ski with the club, must hold a Mansfield Nordic Club Membership. For MNC Membership information and to register click “Join MNC”
Athletes should also be aware of rules governing in season Club and HS activities as well as MNC’s Public HS team policy
