Junior Training 2/17 – 3/2

Tuesday = Recovery classic with DP and light plyos at the Range, 4-5:30.
Wednesday = Recovery skate ski at Sleepy, 4:00-5:30pm.
Thursday = skate with high intensity and no-pole, 4:00-5:30pm.
Sunday = TBA – likely ski tour at Trapp’s

Tentative plan for 2/24 – 3/2:

Tuesday Recovery skate with light plyometrics, 4:00-5:45pm.
Wednesday =
Steady state skate ski @ Sleepy, 4-5:30pm.
Thursday =
Classic ski with high intensity at the Range, 4:00-5:30pm.
Sunday =
TBA.

Junior Training: 2/10 – 2/23

Congratulations to many athletes that achieved goals yesterday in qualifying for J2 Championships and the Eastern High School Championships. I will have a post and pictures coming soon!

Tuesday  = classic with DP and high intensity plus light plyometrics, 4:00-5:45pm.
Wednesday =
Steady state skate ski @ Sleepy, 4-5:30pm.
Thursday =
Recovery ski with technique at the Range, 4:00-5:30pm.
Saturday =
Eastern Cup @ Waterville Valley, NH. 5-5-10-10km Freestyle, Individual.
Sunday =
Eastern Cup @ Plymouth, NH. 5-5-10-15km classic, individual.

Junior Training 9/30 – 10/13

Thank god we’ve got a well-deserved Recovery Week coming up!

  • Tuesday 10/1 = Skate roll + L3 and short intervals @ the Range, 4-6pm.
  • Thursday 10/3 = Classic roll + run. Spd, strength, technique @ the Range, 4-6pm.
  • Friday 10/4 = possible bonus run… TBA.
  • Saturday 10/5 = bonus Skate rollerski time-trial with GMVS in Waitsfield. Details to follow.
  • Sunday 10/6 = Classic @ Round Church w/ agility and Sp.Str. 9:30am-11:30.

And the tentative plan for the following week — an INTENSITY week. Note that Tim will be out of town for the weekend so training should be in small groups with your friends!!

  • Tuesday 10/8 = Bounding intervals @ UVM Research Forest. 4-6pm.
  • Thursday 10/10 = Rollerski intervals @ the Range, 4-6pm.
  • Sunday 10/13 = Track interval workout. Tim will give specifics.

Juniors: Training this week 12/3 – 12/9

This week is going to be a rodeo with crazy weather combined with the fact that they started blowing snow at the Range last week. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that we can rollerski safely and effectively. With that said, please be prepared for the possibility of having to do our workouts as running/bounding on Tuesday/Thursday.

  • Tuesday, 4:00 – 5:45 at the Range. Skate rollerski with high-intensity.
  • Thursday, 4:00 – 5:45 at the Range. Classic rollerski with high-intensity.
  • Sunday: location TBA. Race (Lake Placid – 5km/10km free) or time-trial (Craftsbury).
