Please note our special events that are upcoming in the next few weeks– listed further down the email. I’ll need an RSVP with # of attendees for the barbecue on Saturday.
We have only a few more weeks before Fall sports begin so let’s make the most of summer! I’ve been really impressed by the progress the athletes made since June. Remember that consistency is one of the most important factors when it comes to improving.
- Monday 8:00-10:30am Road bike with Tim at Round Church. We’ll go for a longer ride towards App Gap. We can return by 10am if necessary.
- Tuesday 8:30-10:30am at the Range. Skate roller ski.
- Wednesday 8:30-10:15am bonus training at CVU. Track intervals.
- Thursday 8:30-10:30am at the Range. Classic roller ski.
- Friday 8:30-10:00am running at Sleepy Hollow.
- Saturday 9:00- ???. Mt Mansfield hike followed by a barbecue at the Bruce residence in Underhill Center. We will meet at the top of Stevensville Road (approx 3 miles up the road), which is the second right after the stop sign in Underhill Center. BBQ details below.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
- Saturday 8/3: Mt Mansfield hike followed by a barbecue at the Bruce house. Ken Bruce will supply the burgers and the rest of us should bring some sort of side dish, salad, dessert or beverage. If you are vegetarian please bring your own “meat” for the grill!! Parents and siblings are welcome to join us!! Please RSVP to Tim by Thursday.
- Saturday 8/10: Rollerski followed by a barbecue and swimming at the John camp in Milton. We will rollerski on Bear Trap Road which is also a great place for parents or siblings to go for a road bike. The Johns will provide hamburgers and drinks and the rest of us should bring sides.
- Sunday 8/11: Skate rollerski and potluck in Middlebury, VT. Skiers from around VT will do a long rollerski on the beautiful roads of Addison County and finish with swimming and a potluck. Another fantastic place for parents or siblings to ride bikes.
And one last thing to note: Lea Davison (Jericho) recently won 2 National Championships in mountain biking. She will be racing in the Pro Tour this coming weekend at Catamount Family Center. If you have a chance, go cheer for Lea!!
